Admission Details

The admission process for ITI (Industrial Training Institute) varies from state to state in India, but here is a general overview of the process:

Notification: The notification for admission to ITI courses is generally released in the month of May or June every year. It is usually published in local newspapers, employment newspapers, and also on the official websites of the concerned authorities.

Eligibility Criteria: Before applying for admission to ITI courses, candidates should check the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification. Generally, the minimum eligibility criteria are that the candidate should have passed 10th standard or equivalent from a recognized board.

Application Form: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for admission by filling out the application form. The application form can be obtained from the concerned ITI or from the official website.

Submission of Application Form: The filled-in application form along with the required documents should be submitted to the concerned ITI before the last date specified in the notification.

Merit List: After the submission of the application form, a merit list is prepared by the concerned authority based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard or equivalent examination.

Counseling: Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are called for counseling. The counseling process includes document verification and selection of the course and ITI based on the availability of seats.

Admission: After the counseling process, the candidates who have been allotted a seat in an ITI should pay the admission fee and complete the admission process by submitting the required documents.

Training: The ITI courses generally start in August or September every year. The duration of the course varies from one to two years depending on the course.
